Hi folks,

While this is by no means comprehensive, this is my "local knowledge" of some of the camping and lodging options listed....

The closest lodging place is the Westwinds B & B
(http://www.nhlodging.org/westwind.htm), which is on the Bennington end of Hancock, just off Route 202 on 137.

From there, your next closest options are the Hancock Inn
(http://www.hancockinn.com/) and the Greenfield Inn
(http://www.greenfieldinn.com/), which are both a bit shwanky, but nice if you like that kind of thing...(quite the opposite of a camp cabin!) I wouldn't expect kid friendly, though.

And there's always the lovely Inn at Crotched Mountain, whose owners I have known for many years. There is a great view and a pool. It's a very nice place...

I have heard from some friends who stayed there that the Peterborough Manor is really cool
(http://www.mv.com/ipusers/weaver/)

The Herban Living B & B is owned by some friends of mine, who also operate one of the region's Community Supported Agriculture farms - all organic...

As to the local camping, your closest choices are Greenfield State Park and Seven Maples. The first is a pretty big state park, with a nice lake and canoe and kayak rentals. The Seven Maples is more cozy - "family camping"...

That's about all I know...
